James A. Haley, along with all other VA Medical Centers in Florida, is making preparations to maintain operations and support local and regional partners as needed. At this time we are planning for the main hospital and all clinics to remain open unless there is imminent danger; however, staffing may be impacted as employees prepare at home.

The building owner has advised us that they believe high humidity levels contributing to the growth on the tiles are due to breaches between the wall line and the building eaves. A plan to fix this issue is currently be worked, and more information will be sent when the plan is finalized.

JAHVH Health Administration Services will contact all Veterans with appointments affected by these closures to ensure patient appointments are rescheduled as quickly as possible. Additionally, Veterans with affected appointments will receive an audio care message to alert them of the appointment cancelation.

At this time, JAHVH expects to resume normal activities as of Tuesday morning, June 7. The JAHVH emergency operations center will issue updates as needed.
